What people want

Finally, I don't need to read an essay before knowing if I should store a tomato in the fridge or not.

— a real review of another recipe extension, 2022

We built Pantry to be the version of that — with the parts every reviewer asked for: reliable detection, real bookmarks instead of an in-app save, and a place to write your own notes.

Why you'll love it

Everything you wish recipe blogs did themselves.

Yours forever

Recipes save to your real Chrome bookmarks — not a SaaS database. They sync to mobile, search from the omnibox, and stay with you even if you uninstall Pantry.

Skip the story

Auto-scrolls past the preamble straight to the recipe the moment the page loads. No hunting for the "Jump to Recipe" link.

One-click bookmark

Saved into a tidy, alphabetically sorted "Recipes" folder. No manual filing, no mess — it stays organized for you.

Ingredient cheat sheet

Hover any ingredient in the instructions to see the full line — "2 tbsp olive oil, divided" — without scrolling back up to the list.

Recipe notes

A side panel for substitutions, tweaks, and what you'd do differently next time. Auto-saves and syncs across your Chrome browsers.

Deep links

Bookmarks remember the recipe's exact position on the page, so revisiting jumps you right back to the good part.

Fair to creators

We don't break the blogs you love.

Recipe blogs are how a lot of people make a living — and a lot of those recipes are great because the people writing them care. Pantry helps you find the part you came for. It doesn't take anything away from the people who made it.

If you love a blog, keep visiting it. We just make it less of a slog.

  • No stripping ads. The page loads exactly as the creator built it. Ads run normally.
  • No extracting recipes. We never lift the recipe off the page or republish it elsewhere.
  • Just scroll & augment. We add tools on top of the page — a scroll, a tooltip, a notes panel. Nothing else.
  • The author still gets paid. Their work, their traffic, their ad revenue — all intact.

How it works

Four steps. No setup.

Install Pantry

Add it from the Chrome Web Store and open any recipe blog. There's nothing to configure.

Land on the recipe

The page auto-scrolls straight to the recipe — no clicking "Jump to Recipe."

Bookmark or note it

Click the toolbar icon to save it, or open "My Notes" to jot down your tweaks.

Come back anytime

Your bookmarks and notes are right where you left them, on every device signed into Chrome.
